I'm possibly coming to Miami to see one of my mother's 95 y.o. cousins visiting from Ecuador, and if I am and it's the right dateline, I may get in touch to see if there's room in the workshop! Meanwhile, thank you for all these resources!

Oh, that would be tremendous if you were able to be there! Even just knowing that it's a possibility makes me so happy.

I'm new-ish to Substack so hadn't come across your newsletter before, but I have followed you elsewhere for many years. So glad you are writing and talking about family. I can't do the workshop but will look forward to following you now. And thank you for being free!

Delia, thank you so much for reading and for your kind words! Writing about family is definitely a preoccupation we share. ❤️

I will indeed. There’s a lot of great material on ant-racism but less about whiteness by White writers. If you like I can send you a link to a Substack piece I wrote about whiteness in The Great Gatsby. Thanks again!

Great piece! I too am happy to “see” you again. Thanks especially for mentioning The Right Kind of White. I am at work trying to interrogate whiteness and it sounds like something I need to read.

Good to know! I think you're reading In the Pines, which I liked a great deal, and I also liked Baynard Woods' An Autobiography of My Whiteness, just to name a couple.
